The Ramblings and Ravings of An Old Country Boy

Seems like most everybody and their kids have their very own web page now-a-days. Like most things in life, that is a poor reason to follow suit, but I thought I'd give 'er a try anyway.

I have a vast array of interests, some of which I can even discuss in public. Well, in certain circles, anyway.

Days past, one could have found me in the karate dojo, following the Way of The Warrior. That is to say, sweating and bleeding. But it seems that physical prowess is reserved for the young, and the wisdom of the aged is supposed to supplant those skills. One hopes.

Some ramblings on Wisdom...

About four years ago, I started on the path of healing... Mind, Body, Spirit... Those things we karate senseis spoke of with such frequency. There is more, I find, than is offered in dojos.

There is a saying: "The dojo is everywhere". How true. But infrequently do people break out of their matrix of beliefs to find Truth.

The words are not the Truth. The Truth is not words.

Where does that leave us? Searching...

Some of the things my searching has blessed me with, I share with you, should you have an interest.

"See you on the trail."

This site is under construction, as they say. That means it is not in it's complete and final form, not fully matured, not offering everything, so that you will have to check back periodically to see what growth has taken place.

Same with me...

I figure you'll get over it, if you live long enough.

When I started this little accumulation of trip reports, it was for my friends, family and those loveable lunatics over on the Hoodlum Survival Forum. I have to say that I never imagined that over 3000 people every month, would stop by to spend some time. That is either way cool, or there are a helluva lot of bored people out there... heh, heh, heh...
